Implementation Activities

School-based and transnational activities putting the Community & English approach into practice through long-term teaching and learning assignments, student-team activities and the Blended Mobility.

October 2025 – April 2026 Partner schools in Poland, North Macedonia, Türkiye and Italy Implementation Activity

Long-Term Teaching/Learning Assignments

The Long-Term Teaching/Learning Assignments brought the Community & English approach into regular school practice across the four partner secondary schools in Poland, North Macedonia, Türkiye and Italy. Following the international teacher-training activities, trained English teachers introduced Community-connected learning into classroom and non-formal educational activities with their students.

Teachers combined English-language learning with community-related challenges and digital educational approaches. Activities incorporated Open Educational Resources, free online VR-based educational software and the newly developed Community & English VR tool, giving students opportunities to use English in more interactive, practical and technology-supported learning environments.

Students worked in teams on tasks connected with environmental, social, cultural and other issues relevant to their communities. Through research, discussion and presentation of their findings, the activities supported the development of English-language skills together with digital competence, teamwork, critical thinking, research and presentation skills.

Student-team competitive activities were organised within the participating schools using the project’s VR educational module and the learning developed during the assignments. The competitions enabled students to apply their knowledge and teamwork in practice and were also used to determine the best team from each partner school for participation in the Blended Mobility.

The implementation period allowed teachers and students to test the Community-connected learning concept and digital tools in real educational settings. Their experience, feedback and good practices supported further project cooperation and prepared the selected student teams and teacher-mentors for the transnational activities that followed.

June 2026 Naples, Italy Blended Mobility

Blended Mobility

The Community & English Blended Mobility brought together members of the best student teams from the four partner schools, their teacher-mentors, project experts and partner representatives in Naples, Italy. The event created an international setting in which participants could exchange experiences from the long-term teaching/learning assignments and share how Community-connected learning had been implemented in their schools.

Teachers and students compared experiences, challenges and good practices developed during the school-based activities. The exchange provided an opportunity to reflect on the use of Community-connected learning, Open Educational Resources and Virtual Reality in English-language education while strengthening cooperation between participants from Poland, North Macedonia, Türkiye and Italy.

The programme also supported the project’s eTwinning cooperation. Participants worked on the finalisation and presentation of the Community & English eTwinning project, bringing together experiences and achievements from the partner schools and supporting its submission for recognition through the eTwinning Quality Label process.

Students also strengthened their presentation and communication skills and took part in a transnational competitive activity using the VR educational software developed within the project. The activity encouraged teamwork and foreign-language learning while giving participants an opportunity to apply the skills and experience developed during the national school activities.

The Blended Mobility concluded with presentation of achievements, exchange of feedback and reflection on the project’s educational approach. By bringing together teachers and students from the four partner countries, the activity strengthened transnational cooperation and supported the continued use and transfer of Community & English methods and project results.
